　　该片根据日本混血歌手安吉拉·亚纪的名曲《写信拜启给十五岁的你》为轴衍生出的青春物语，讲述了天才美女钢琴家柏木由利（新垣结衣饰），回到故乡长崎县五岛列岛的中学当起了临时老师，为了让学校的合唱部参加音乐会演，柏木向学生们提出“写一封信给15年后的自己”的课题，通过阅读学生们的信，令柏木了解到15岁少男少女各自心中隐藏的秘密，描绘出乡下女教师与学生之间的纯粹感动物语，被誉为现代版的《二十四只眼睛》。
